well, hopefully this introduction will lead some of them to really enjoy reading higher literature such as Calvin&Hobbes, Metal Gear Solid and The Lord of the Rings.
Well I think every kind of reading is well worth it, I actually learned most of my English playing Final Fantasy or for those you don't know the series they're Console RPG's (Role-Playing Games), so I guess it helped. As for Harry Potter I do think they're great books.

Hum I couldn't understand in what part Metal Gear Solid is an "higher literature" but well I didn't read anything about the Metal Gear world (I'm guessing it's fan fiction?), I only know the game, just thought it was funny and everyone has their preferences ^^
