yes. our previous president usually made the next day a holiday if a holiday fell on a weekend. independence day was a sunday, so today should have been declared a holiday, but the pres. reasoned that since we already have the 20th as a holiday, it'd be too many o_O;
i wouldn't mind taking another holiday out of the equation, but independence day is rather significant.
