By curiosity I lurked around Tigerdirect. They have the Pocket Edge for sale, apperently in stock. I noticed a weird thing at the bottom of the PE description page :

I asked enTourage who "Synnex" was when TigerDirect.ca first started carrying the PE in late November/early December. I was told Synnex is just a Canadian distributor. They don't manufacture things. It's just a quirk of the retailer's listing.
