If your Uni won't cover it because the company is potentially going under, definitely consider picking up a used one. I got my full-sized Edge, used, from an Amazon seller for $380. There are quite a few up for auction on ebay that are well under the $500+ retail price. It's worth it! And does all sorts of things that the ipad just can't do.
