Oh, no, I didn't mean confide in them. That's feeding information to the enemy.

No, I only meant that confiding those visceral feelings with people or a person outside of your family you felt close to and could trust (people who understood you were venting the extreme feelings while also implicitly needing someone to hear your thoughts and reasons...sometimes, just people who understood they were an ear, and not an answer) can be a good thing. Sometimes when you put things into words, a way forward arises. Sometimes when you put things into words you can see how silly or meaningless or trivial they are. Sometimes when you put things into words you can find the deep core of the problem. And sometimes you don't need to put things into words but just into one long AAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!! because it feels good (and an empathetic ear will AAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!! along with you. ).
