Checked up on it. What's embedded is actually
Reader Mobile, a distinct product. It's a stretch to call that ADE, considering the lack of UI and the fact that Adobe itself doesn't call it ADE anywhere. I'd be interested in Cyberman tM's clarification on which he meant when he said "IF (big if!) these numbers are from the ADE software".

It's Adobe tech, but they sure don't call it ADE. The boot screen's exact words are "Contains Reader Mobile® technology by Adobe Systems Incorporated." The Kobo User Guide says much the same.
