So I take it that the seller didn't want to recognise that it's a stolen Kindle? (you are a bit unclear about the details.)

Edit: I'm pretty sure Ebay has some safety nets implanted in their system. I think that it might be possible for Ebay to get your money back through paypal. If the required circumstances are met, ofc.
