Its worth it. Even if we whine about the smells and the occasional oddities of our pets, its just another extension of our affection for them. Our animals are an extension of our families, and ourselves. Pets learn their personalities from their caretakers, after all. I'd hate to think just because we were blathering on about little things that we'd turned someone away from the thought of adopting one of their own.
