I was able to find some fresh brussel sprouts. I made an entire meal out of 1.25 pounds of it! OK, objectively the smell is a little less than apple pie. But to me the flavor overrides the aroma.
Just like kimchi, I like it, others hate it. Sushi, and sashimi, leave me totally uninterested. Others love it.

so true.
when I was small, they made this kind of ice cream: mint flavor, plus chocolate bits. I swear it was the best ice cream I've ever eaten. Needless to say I was a loyal customer, always came to the nearest store twice to four times per day from Monday to Sunday. Happily bought ice cream. Whole-heartedly enjoyed it.
after a while, they stopped selling that ice cream, and started making more of another kind of ice cream (fruit flavored - although they never said and I never figured out what fruits they were) which sucks.
I always wanted to come to the factory and shout at the manager: "make it! I'll buy them all!" And they lost me as a potential customer (I was 8 at that time). I've never found any happiness in ice cream ever since.
