There is this regional thing here called "Mate" (I'm from Argentina btw).
It consists in a sort of cup made usually from pumpkin (small ones) carved on the inside, with a fine straw with a filter at the begging (usually copper, but can be wood crafted).
You fill the cup with "Yerba mate", its something like tea leaves, but it consists on various parts of the plant (leaves, small branches, etc, hence the filter).
Then you pour hot water (usually the best water temperature for mate is around 85°C) and you drink.
