I remain a skeptic. Bezos has said multiple times that he's not interested in a tablet, and that the most important thing for Amazon is the reader experience and to get people to buy more e-books. I just have a hard time seeing them abandoning that position now. They've already got their software running on Android tablets, which seems to be what they were really going for. The cloud software they released makes it easier for people to use Amazon music. What does a tablet bring to the table? All it does is put them in more direct competition with Apple, which isn't exactly a great place to be.
