It's funny other than colds, the flu and an evil bout with dengue, I have never had stomach problems here in Asia, but I know plenty of people who when they hear "Asian food/water" they get the urge to uneat their lunch
I think the trick is to jump in with both feet and eat everything, within reason, there are still places I won't eat. For the most part though, I eat anything and everything.
