It isn't impossible they might beat the odds though too. Though it may seem unlikely. Former Pres. Jimmy Carter (back when he was in the Navy) had to do something of the same sort and last I heard he's still with us. It's possible that there wasn't as much radiation as in the present case, but prayers for them can't hurt either I would think.
