Ummm.... surely that's the point ?
If people feel obliged to complain on Forums because the manufacturer either won't listen/rejects their liability/ ignores inquiries, and in general offer poor support for an expensive item, we all should know about it, in case we are put in that position.
Where else are they to go ?
And often they recieve a simple answer from a contributor that Sony, for example, should/could/did and anyway ought to have known and - if they were at all concerned for their customers - simply give the information or help directly.
I'm very happy you got good service from Sony - would that it was the case with all consumer problems or complaints.
Then, no problems - but the Forum still wouldn't close.
And, finally- it's OK, finishing soon - people
do join Forums when all is going smoothly, me for a start, (sorry if I'm in a minority) and, it would seem, yourself ..........it's called finding, recieving, and sharing helpful information from like-minded others.
And sometimes it is a godsend, frankly.
And usually, very entertaining.
