I've had no problems with sony support. i called them once because of faulty EPUBs, and they were fixed within a week. Another time I called because I'd purchased something a month before a price reduction, and they gave me a $25 discount even though they weren't obligated to do anything.

Of course forums are full of complaints. No one ever joins a forum because things are going smoothly.
