Ok I downloaded Puppy Linux and did what you said and it is recognizing the cybook. This is probably good news. Thank you.

I don't see how to access files on my hard drive or on the cybook through the linux interface. Can you tell me how to use this to add and remove books from the cybook?

I need to be able to do this on windows. Learning a new OS should not be required for using the darn thing. This is getting very frustrating.
