I have several different recorders and some Japanese shakuhachi. I love the sound of the pentatonic scale that the shakuhachi play in. You can play with them for hours, ever knowing any real music score. Very 'Zen' sounding. Complete antithesis of the heavy drum/fast bagpipes for battle.

Speaking of which, as I'll be out of town, can you please take some pictures of KK painted blue brandishing her battle ax and claymore. I'd hate to miss that. Thank you very much.
