Yes, the "troll" is in the intent, not in the content. If you are growing a field of corn, then a sunflower growing in there is a weed. But if you are growing sunflowers, a stalk of corn would be. If you are on a forum dedicated to home bookbinding, constantly claiming that ebooks are evil and will lead to the end of civilization probably wouldn't generally be considered a troll. Come to a site of, by, and for ebook enthusiasts, say the exact same thing, and it is a troll. And yes, if you go to the Kindle forum and start a thread on how much better the Kindle is than the Sony and you hope the Sony fails, it isn't trolling, but if you go on the Sony forum just to post the same thing-- you are trolling.
