How exactly do you shop the US kindle store without a US address set as the default kindle address? That is how amazon determines what store to put you in.

as soon as you log in, it puts you into the kindle store based on the country of your address.

just because you are at amazon.com (vs. amazon.ca) does not mean you are shopping in the US kindle store...

You can tell easily enough - once you login and go to the kindle store, you should see 'Your Country or Region' towards the top left of the screen. If yours says United States, I am very curious how this can be with out a US address.
