It's mid-week.
We've been worried for most of November because of one of our cats.
He had surgery last week to remove a 2 inch diameter lump from his skin, leaving him with a 4 inch (or so) wound. The lump had no internal linkage.
He does not like wearing the collar. It was removed for a short while yesterday to allow him a bit more freedom. He didn't attack (he never has), but was violently opposed to me replacing it, and has since retreated away from us.
For some reason he also has a bad hind leg limp - though the vet does not know why.
Half-an-hour ago the vet rang and informed us the lump was cancer. He has other, smaller lumps that can be felt under his fur.
All the other cats have become quiet and are eager for more cuddles from my wife and I, than I can remember them doing for a while.
He is a wonderful cat, with a great character; and often followed us round on dog walks.
He's 11 and we've had his company over 9 years - his brother died of cat flu a few weeks after we had gotten them from Cat Protection.
Sorry if I've been missed these past few weeks....
