What I did : measured the 650, saw it was just a tiny bit bigger than the 300. Ordered a M-edge GO leather cover for the 300 (they were on sale at 15.99 $ last weekd, so I thought I was not going to lose much if it did not fit).

As the cover arrived, I tried it on. As is, the 650 will not fit in, but there is not much room missing. So I cut the leather attachments on the lower parts of the cover (not the upper elastic ones), replaced each (left and right) with a "male" velcro part in a triangle shape, stuck the "female" triangle velcro parts left and right on the lower back of the 650, and am now using it as my sole cover. It is secured in the upper part with the elastics and in the lower part with the velcro. It is very stable, the cover closes without problem. I use an elastic to have a "moleskine" effect, which I have done with all my m-edge covers since I ended up always getting the GO Cover. The Go cover are leaner and I don't like the way the other m-edge covers close. Plus with the elastic I can read with the cover folded to the back, with just the palm of my hand between both layers holding the reader, and I can swipe with my thumb.

It does not protect the 650 any less than the Sony cover would, really, and if needed there are certainly better protection on the market, but since my 650 does not leave my house it is OK for me. AND I don't end up with a huge cover, which would be a pity considering Sony really did an effort on the dimensions of the 650.

Nevertheless, I think it is a shame that m-edge did not react on the new sony devices, considering how well they sell right now, it is not a very clever business decision not to offer covers for those, so yes, I am disappointed too!
