My lap top has somehow acquired a virus by the name of 'Security Tool' which I did not download, as I had heard about it a week ago on TV, but will it let me get into any program to kill it? Not bl**dy likely! It is all pervasive, so I'm venting on my desktop computer.

Went into Windows and there are nineteen pages of people trying to get rid of it.

Be afraid; be very, very afraid.

If you have malwarebytes loaded, it will remove that particular virus.

I use it weekly......free, of course. Be sure to do an "update" each time you use it......

I've run into that one here a few times and MalwareBytes doesn't always work with it. The one thing I've found that does is comboFix, I've not had it not work yet.
