I have just had a crash with my Kobo and posted a help request on Kobo's site. They say they have had problems with their software (with a helpful footnote of "If the eReader has been damaged because of thes (sic) crash, we unfortunately will be unable to replace it under the warranty." )
I have managed to get the thing working again, but lost all the free Kobo books and now can't read any of the books I bought from Borders. I am still waiting to hear from Borders as they may be able to just replace the books in my Borders library.
Mmm...suddenly gone from being a big Kobo fan to a very bewildered purchaser. This is the first time I have had to deal with the actual Kobo manufacturers, rather than Borders, and I am not very impressed. What is this business with their software? Now I am afraid to use it and will do everything through Calibre and Adobe DE. And I'd like the books I paid for back working again.
