I did try doing something similar with collections using the Sony software - the 'orrid quality was what drove me to discover Calibre.

I'm sure it would help if I knew what you were talking about. Actually I have some idea of what you are talking about but have no idea how to do it.
If I should figure out how to do it, can this then be replicated as a collection on the reader itself?
