Battery life is good. As good as the Kindle? No. But 3-4 days is fine. I could use improvement of maybe a day or two.
Button cracking - minority. Kindles have physical issues too
Return rate - what, do you work at B&N?
USB connection - standard micro-B connector, takes standard USB voltage...pretty much the same as the Kindle.
