US users haven't had a delivery surcharge for a while.

If the books are from Amazon, you can send them to the Kindle already. If they are not from Amazon, and you email them to your @kindle.com address, it will charge 15 c per megabyte.


EDIT: following is for Kindle 3 only. Sorry... failed to notice you said DX.
If you email them to your @free.kindle.com address, you will not be charged, and the books will be delivered when you next connect to a wifi network. (They will also be delivered to your email)
