My ex in-laws HATED it when I would bring a book to their house, or find something in their bookcase to read while I was there. If they had been actively wanting to talk to me, I could have understood it, but most of the time when we were there, they were doing their own thing and completely ignoring at least me, so I figured I could do as I wished. Me with an ebook reader would drive them completely round the bend...boy am I glad they are my EX in-laws.... my current ones love me - and my books.
