David, The problem appears to be with 2.3. I tried basically the same thing with 2.2 and it works. I looked at the XML in MS Word and I could see back to back link commands with nothing between. I assume that there should have been some reference in between the two links. I can't find any way in 2.2 to only output one file type. Most of my books started life as PDFs and I then converted to epubs. In 2.2 I seem to get both the PDF and the epub copy and that blows the size of my storage on my Nook. My Trook version is the latest softroot as of 4 days ago when I downloaded it.........Jackie
