Origami photo leaked

Okay Microsoft. It may be a corny advertising scheme, but you've got us interested. Especially now that leaked pictures are coming out that are a lot more realistic than those goofy looking devices in the leaked teaser videos.

A bigger version of the picture is attached. (Click on this article to see the full post, and then click on the thumbnail to see the bigger image.)

Looks promising to me! Like a Nokia 770, made by Microsoft.

Sorry, but on a second look: way to clunky. The keyword is mobility, but look how much space they give up for the keyboard and LED layout. Perhaps Microsoft wanted to save a few bucks on a larger screen.

Yes, it seems to be a Nokia 770 competitor.

Running... XP apparently? Did MS either manage to get a Intel chip in there, or have they ported XP to ARM?

Either way... Not too excited. :|

Did anyone notice the small innacuracies of the photo? Supposedly, it is on the WMP library tab (as seen on top), though it appears to be on a store tab (which would be titled audio or video).

It almost looks lika a Vista interface, though it could be XP I suppose. The media player looks like WMP11 more than 10, so it is hard to say if this pic is real, and if it is real, then it is hard to say what OS it is running.

Engadget says 'No'

Engadget thinks it's fake, and I sure hope so! This is ugly compared to the other pics floating around!

Looks like this one was real after all. It resembles very much the Smart Caddie, yet another Origami-PC, manufactured by a Japanese vendor.

Personally I think the black one looks much nicer.

Teleread found a picture that depicts it in black, named the "Tablet Kiosk V-700 Ultra-Mobile PC": http://www.teleread.org/blog/?p=4454
