James, Henry: The Story of a Year, v.1, 17 December 2008.
By Henry James (1843–1916) Appearing in The Atlantic Monthly in March, 1865, “The Story of a Year” was never collected by James in book form. It is his second published story. A young couple get engaged just before his departure for military service in the American Civil War. A lot can happen in a year… This work is in the Canadian public domain OR the copyright holder has given specific permission for distribution. It may still be under copyright in some countries.
