Moon+ Reader TTS issues

I can't figure this out. Some books do normally and show the play/Pause buttons on the lock screen and the pull down notifications as it's always done. However, I'm seeing more and more where the controls don't appear either on the lock screen or the pull down menu. Sometimes one or the other, sometimes neither.

My set up is: Galaxy S10+, Moon+ Pro., Ivona TTS engine (side loaded). Books in classic mobi format through Calibre (some are converted from epub to mobi, either by me or whomever uploaded it).

Yes, I am aware the Ivona is destined to stop working one day, but if this is something that can be remedied, I'd appreciate it. I DO have Acapella, but I have the same issue with that engine. And the voices annoy me in comparison to Ivona's. Just my 2 cents on that.
