Cooper, Duff: Old Men Forget, v1, 27 Nov 2008

This is the autobiography of Duff Cooper, a literary and political figure in the UK in the first half of the 20th century. He uses numerous excerpts from his diary as he comments on people and events.

The handling of his diary remarks in this transcription is not always the same, because some quotes go on for pages and shrinking the margins to so indicate would only occupy even more pages.

Because he died in 1954, his work is out of copyright in Canada and this work did not have its copyright renewed in the U. S., so it is out of copyright in the US as well.
This work is assumed to be in the Life+70 public domain OR the copyright holder has given specific permission for distribution. Thanks for the kind words

I am interested in Winston Churchill and John Buchan and Duff Cooper was acquainted with both of them which is what interested me in the first place.

I do need to do a little more work such as making it possible to click on each chapter head to get you back to the table of contents. There may be the stray error or two....please let me know of any that you find by emailing me the surrounding text. That way when I get to v2, I can do it all at once. This was an internet archive text, so I was the undistributed proofreader and probably not quite so accurate as they are!
