You've tested 685 and found this to be true? That would be a shame if so. I'm curious myself as to what Mobipocket improvements are still needed.

Yes, I know a lot of people want new features. But given all the bugs in the initial release of the Gen3 I would have to say that getting the bugs out should take priority over new features.

And now mobi2mobi can stop resizing images since that bug has officially been fixed.

It means hopefully the missed button presses won't be missed any longer and that the Mobipocket viewer now supports tables.

File size around 6mb ...

I think these are the things many of us were hoping for in this firmware update, but it looks like we'll have to wait for the next release:

What's Next
  • New directory view.
  • Improved Mobipocket, PDF, HTML & TXT support.
  • New user interface features.
  • User interface translations.

Just installed the firmware.

An event is an asynchronous action, generally on the part of a user, that interrupts the flow of the CPU. This means that they improved the event handling routine that responds to these kinds of actions. External events can be generated by the user pressing a button, by a timer or clock count down, or from an external hardware item such as an SD card driver.

I am surprised that there is no mention of the clock fix to allow public library checkout. That should have been in the release as well.

Now shows in the About screen: Version 6.0 (build 69).

The instructions tell you to press & hold the enter button until the screen flashes to start the installation. The first time I attempted it nothing happened, so I turned the Cybook off and started over. I had to press & hold the enter button for about 20 seconds before the screen flashed - I started to think I had messed it up again. But then the screen flashed, I released the button and the firmware installed easily enough.

Now I have to check things out more, but so far, things look just like they did before. I will have to check to see if button presses are faster and more responsive. But it does seem a bit zippier.
