Thanks for posting. Will this fix discoloration across the screen and uneven light at the bottom?

It does say "next gen" light. We can only surmise what that means.

Who gives a damn what it looks like with the screen on maximum brightness in a dark room? You're not going to use it set like that. What matters is what the screen looks like in the conditions in which you use it.

Let's hope for a firmware update for existing devices for that.

Although personally I would rather have more fonts and more font sizes than GoodReads integration.

Font sizes would be nice but I have plenty of fonts already. I had to take some off as I could never decide which ones to use. I love my Paperwhite really no complaints but I am excited to see this new one!

The size specs appear to be exactly the same for this Paperwhite and the original, so the same cases should work. That immediately makes me more likely to buy it.
