Dennis E. Bolen

First off, I do know Dennis so I may be a bit bias - whether the bias is for or against him depends on the day.

Toy Guns, is one of a series of book with the character Barry Delta a hard boiled parol officer who's seen it all, and gets with all the ladies. However, it is more than that. Dennis has years of expereince of being a parol officer and puts the social and psycological turths found in that time into this book but you gotta get past the noir. This read like crime fiction but is much more.

Kaspiot, the sound a can of beer makes when you open it, and is a representation of how the book is written. Definatly bold and exparimental in a way that works. It has sentances that are onamanapic, resonating there meaning through a drunk driver's wreck. The story, dark with bikers written the way they are dirty, burtal, and unredeemed. Truely, a work of art. Not for everyone... but what is?

Anticipated Results, a book about the boomers that lost. It's a collection of short stories but tied together well enough to have more of theme than most novels. It full of faile people who were promissed the North American dream but never fully bought into the trade off needed to get it. Boomer will like it, I'm not a boomer.

Have fun, Jan
