How long for Calibre and iBooks
How long do we think it will take for Kovad or any of the Calibre army to write a translator for the .ibook format to epub?

It is, but last I heard no one in AA's Army was working on it. Which has nothing to do with Kovid's work on calibre, just to clarify for anyone reading this who isn't clear on that. Third party, not affiliated with calibre.

It's a variant of epub....wonder how hard it is to at least just strip out the "non-epub" parts, while keeping a nice renderable result.

That would be awesome, wouldn't it ? And renewed thanks to Kovad and all for such a superb tool, that takes thy hassle out of .... well, practically everything, come to think about it !
