footnotes on iPad 2 and Firefox-viewer
At last I think I have solved a footnote display problem on the iPad 2. There is a wonderful feature in which a click on the footnote anchor-text causes a zoom out to the footnote and a "return" link in the footnote page zooms the user to back to the source. It seems that this is only implemented when the the footnote page is the last page in the spine.
I want my epub to also display in Firefox's add-on viewer (which I like very much). But I wonder if someone can help me with a problem: The anchor in the footnote page will only return the user to the *bottom* of the page that contained the source anchor. The id is correctly in place -- ?? I tried putting the return id in the beginning of the paragraph -- no go. How can I get my anchor in the footnote page to return the user to the anchor location in the source document? Many thanks .. |

Ahh, found a post from isambard that deals with this. if I substitute "id" for "name" in the anchor, it works properly, returning to the location of the footnote.
