Development adb debugging connection

Just wanted to hear from other people who are using the adb debug connection.

My eDGe keeps dropping its adb connection to my PC.

is anyone else experiencing this?

I'm guessing that this is one reason enTourage haven't enabled it generally.

We are not having this problem, what OS are you using?

I think this may be a problem with the mini us connection on my edge. It seems a bit loose.

I'm running ububtu 10.4. (Actually ubuntu seems to be having issues today).

mrspaceman, did you tried WiFi adb connection instead of USB ?

You know, I've been developing for Android (HTC Hero) since september last year and I have never tried adb over wifi

boy, I need to start learning to learn again.

Guess I got stuck in a habbit. I'll give adb over wifi a go.

I have realised what the problem is.

The usb cable I am using has plastic around the connector which is topping the plug going all the way into the socket.

I will use a dremel tomorrow to shape the plastic and see if I can get the cable to insert into the socket better.
