Eliot, Charles W. (editor), Harvard Classics 04: Milton. v1. 06 July 07

Complete Poems Written in English by John Milton

Not number one on my hit parade but a writer loved by millions. Paradise Lost and Paradise Restored are classics.

I have always found it interesting the logic of Paradise Lost contrasted with the logic of Augustine's City of God.

How cool is that! Not only are we into the single digit volumes remaining count, but this means we have the whole first chunk finished with consecutive Volumes 1-17 complete!!!!!!

Now that's a great surprise! As Paul Harvey said to Larry King in a 2003 interview: "'The best of times' is right now." ;-)

This is brilliant. I was actually thinking of doing Paradise Lost because my copy is falling to bits. And here it is. Wonderful.
