Question calibre does not want to install an extension
Hello
I am a new caliber user on mac osx.
I am very interested in an extension that I downloaded but refuses to install. I made a screenshot which I attach to this message and I also attach the zip file. The strange thing is that there is an _init_.py file in the folder.
Anyone have a solution?

Extract it to a new folder, then rezip it from there entirely. Install it normally.

Second sentence of error message states: It does not contain a top-level __init__py file.

The zip you posted has that file and other relevant files inside a folder named babelio_notes. The zip also contains Apple artefacts that need to go.

On the first page of a search for babelio_notes I found this thread ==>> Mobilererad->Forum Français->Software->Calibre extensions. Try the babelio_notes.zip that's posted in there, its construction conforms to calibre's requirements Ψ³

I would not trust that plugin copy as someone modified it and maybe it's been changed to be malicious.
