Where Can Henry Melton Sell His E-Book?
I recently ran across an e-book that looked fairly interesting: a juvenile adventure story called Emperor Dad by Henry Melton. The problem is its availability: it is currently available only as a PDF, a Kindle e-book, or as an Apple App Store "appbook"—a book-and-reader-progam in one that is, of course, limited to working on the iPhone only. I won't buy e-books in PDF, I don't have a Kindle, and, though the "appbook" is only $5, I'm hesitant to buy something that I can only read on this one device.
When I suggested that he try seeing if Fictionwise could carry it for him in a more widely-used e-book format, he replied that Fictionwise insisted on exclusive electronic rights, meaning that all other formats of the e-book would have to go. (This seems a bit odd to me—doesn't Fictionwise carry all sorts of Baen Webscription e-books?—but perhaps it's a small-publisher thing.) In the interest of getting him to sell it in a format I can actually use, I figured I would see if folks here had some idea of other e-book vendors he might try checking to see if he could place his e-book with them. Suggestions? |

Anyone can self-publish with MobiPocket - see their web site for details. Rates are similar to Amazon, I believe.

Hmm, as Harry Said, Mobipocket may be a good bet, especially as He is already selling it for the kindle. From What I remember, they do allow self publication from individual authors and Publishers .
More Info here Hope it helps |

If I remember well, the possibility of going through Baen, with non-exclusive rights, has been mentioned in the thread about Jeffrey Carver :
