Calibre and Windows 7 64 bit with Sony PRS-505
It is a while since I have looked at this issue and it was my earlier understanding that Calibre, Vista 64 bit and the PRS-505 was a combination that didn't mix. I have just installed Calibre 0.6.5 on my Windows 7 RC 64 bit test installation and it detected my Sony Reader straight away and as far as I can see, everything is working.
I expect to have Windows 7 RTM within a few days and will then be going live as I am impressed with the new OS. Are there any issues that I should be aware of or can I take it that Calibre, Windows 7 64 bit and the Sony PRS-505 do go together? I should add that my Reader is a UK model so I have not updated the Firmware as the update now available seems to only apply to USA models so far. |
