Actually I want to be able to add my own screen savers and fonts. So I assume I have to jailbreak my Kindle to do that. And excuse my ignorance, but where or what is the JB thread, part of this extended thread perhaps?

@SharonK: Yep, you do .
You'll find the JB here. The Where To Start sticky might also come in handy . |

Do not upgrade to version 5.6 if you are considering a jailbreak!
Oh me, my Kindle updated to version 5.6 before I had the time to install the jailbreak. I haven't tried reseting it to see what happens, but at this time, 5.6 will not allow you to downgrade your kindle. I've tried three different versions of the software. It deletes the file every time and warns me that a different file was put on the Kindle illegally. I thought you might want to know and so could warn people. I'm guessing that no one knows a way to get around this problem as yet. I originally tried to jailbreak my device and was having problems doing it. So I put everything back as I had it in the beginning. That's when I got caught. I'll keep checking back here. Perhaps someone will find a solution eventually. Thanks for trying to help me.

**Next time** -
Mention which model Kindle you have and/or correct your personal profile information block. |

I'm stumped.
I've successfully jail broken my Kindle Touch. I've successfully installed the Mobileread Kindlet Kit. I've placed the CollectionsManager.azw2 to the "documents" folder on the Kindle. and now what? I've restarted the thing a couple of times. I've remade the collections in Calibre, but every time it tells me I should eject and synchronise in the collections manager. Is this collections manager a separate program? because if it is, the first page didn't supply a link to the download location. If it is not... how can I access it? In my menu I see nothing, just the 'create new collection'. If I click that, I have to give a name. So it didn't recognise the collections made my Calibre. The whole sort by 'collections' is greyed out on mine.. but that is probably because I haven't synchronised it, but I haven't got the faintest idea how to do that. Can anyone give some feedback? |

If not - Check your date/time setting - Check your display setting - You have to get it to show up before you can use it. - - - - - It is not a separate application, it is only a different UI on the Amazon provided collections management. Disclaimer: I don't use it myself. The above is about limit of what I know about it. |

I have a newly purchased Kindle Paperwhite 2, firmware 5.4.3.2. It's jailbroken, and I have installed the collections manager, but it gives me "Application Error The Selected application could not be started. Please try again." I've tried resetting the Kindle, and reinstalling the jailbreak and collection manager, but it never works. Any ideas?
