Found the boot block

Design256...

Code:
root@ereader:/media/cf# dd if=/dev/tffsa3 of=boot
2+0 records in
2+0 records out
root@ereader:/media/cf# file boot
boot: x86 boot sector, extended partition table
Kernel has got to be in tffsa4.

Having nearly a complete Debian system on the iLiad is nice for hacking it apart.

Also: if you flash your own kernel, you most certainly won't have a working iLiad anymore: no wired ethernet, no filesystem -> brick.
I'd hate to see you guys brick your iLiad, especially with all the development going on now...

tffsa3 is the extended partition, containing tffsa5-7. I'm not sure why fdisk skips tffsa4, when creating new partitions inside tffsa3, but it does. There is no "hidden tffsa4", trust me.

grin. don't worry we won't attempt a kernel reflash. Guess that the kernel sits on a device only available at boot-time?

(wistfully remembers the days of Commodore Amiga when the circuit schematics were in the back of the manual...)

Isnt that normal behavior?
I thought primary partitions would be 1-4, extended 5-8.
From the time, where you could only have those 8 partitions.
But i could be wrong there
