Is there any possibility to root Kindle PW Gen1

Hi there,
i somehow lost the overview of all the threads in this board,
since the newest update of kinde pw gen1 i can't use any of the cool
"apps" you guys develop or port and the most anoying one is that i
can't use koreader...
so my question is there any possibility to jailbreak my kindle again
with downgrade or whatever there is?
thanks in advance and sorry for asking the question i bet everyone asks these days.

oh sry yes firmware is 5.3.8 (2058510011) thanks
so as i understood i need to downgrade right?
as ixtab is mentioning after the procedure you can update again, so why didn't the jailbreak survive with the newest update?

Because that release wasn't out when the jb bridge was written.

i had everything installed but since this update dev certificates didn't work

hmmm. I see. I am pretty certain that you need to reinstall them, and that that fact is documented on the relevant thread.

Time ago I had to downgrade to firmware 5.3.4 because kindlets and dev certificates didn't install even with jailbreaked version 5.3.5 (they were grayed out)

Greyed out 'UYK' links have nothing to do with the jailbreak, and everything to do with a PEBKAC
