Behebt PRS+ die Blocksatzfehler des 505 ?
Kann den 505 neu für ca. 160 bekommen und denke ich kaufe.
(Wenn das Weltbild Gerät 6" wäre, würde ich wohl da zuschlagen, aber 5" ist mir irgendwie zu wenig.) Nun hab ich von den Blocksatzproblemen gelesen. Ich habe einige Bücher gesammelt, die ich darauf lesen will. Allesamt ohne DRM. Ich kann also umwandeln. Frage mich aber, ob die alternative Firmware in jedem Fall das Gerät verbessert ? Gibt es nur PRS+ oder auch noch andere Projekte ? Danke |

Einfach in LRF umwandeln, dann klappt´s auch mit dem Blocksatz.

Wenn du den Opus empfiehlst, ist der Gen3 genauso gut ? Der hätte 6". |

Der / Das CyBook Gen3 ist nicht vergleichbar, sondern identisch mit dem PocketBook 301 - bis auf die Software.
Und da gibt es beim CyBook eigentlich nichts auszusetzen. Es hat nicht so viele Funktionen wie das PB, sondern tut nur was es soll - die Formatierung ist makellos, TTF-Schriften werden akzeptiert, die Bibliothek ist übersichtlich mit Coveransicht, und die Bildwechselgeschwindigkeit mit dem neuen Treiber ist ungeschlagen. Aktuell noch ein kleiner Schönheitsfehler: Metadaten (Author-Titel) werden nicht in der Bibliotheksansicht dargestellt (wird durch Update behoben werden). Das wichtigste Kriterium für die Bookeen-Geräte ist wohl die Möglichkeit, geschützte EPUBs oder geschützte MOBI-Dateien lesen zu können. Das PB kann m.w. allerdings sowohl geschützte EPUBs und ungeschützte MOBIs lesen. Das einzige, was mich am Gen3 ein bisschen stört, ist dass es keine Möglichkeit gibt die Leseorientierung zu drehen. Das Opus kann das durch den Lagesensor (wie auch das PB360), doch eine manuelle Möglichkeit für das Gen3 fehlt. Leider. |

Nein, das ist nicht mehr ganz richtig. Die Gen3-Gold-Edition weicht u.a. bzgl. Speicher vom PB301 ab: 1GB Flashmemory vs. 512MB und 32MB Ram vs. 64MB. Darüber hinaus - wenn auch softwarebedingt - bietet das Gen3 "nur" 8 Graustufen, das PB301 16 (bei Bilddarstellung, bei Text sind es jeweils 4)

Es ist ja der Wahnsinn, was gebrauchte PRS 505 bei ebay bringen.
Gerade ist eins für sage und schreibe 234 € weggegangen. Lächerlich, im Karstadt stehen noch zwei org. verpackte für 179 rum... Ich hab jetzt ein iriver Story für 154 geschossen. Bin zufrieden, die PDF Darstellung ist ok, so muss ich nichts umwandeln. |

Das ist häufig der Fall bei ebay.. Ich frag mich auch immer wer sich ein gebrauchtes iPad bei ebay für 700 Flocken holt, wenn man das gleiche in Neu direkt von Apple für 499 incl. Versand kaufen kann..
