Looks like B&N is about to announce this new e-reader. There's a listing for it on the B&N website, but still just the Nook Glowlight info. The press kit has a link for the Plus, but nothing there yet. Stay tuned!

The Glowlight was a bit of a disappointment for me, but what will B&N do with this Plus? If they offer a more recent version of Android, a relatively easy way to root or install some other apps (Instapaper, for one), and give us a microSD card slot again, I may be in! My first eReader was the Simple Touch. I'd be happy to give B&N another chance.

I can live without the card slot if they provide enough internal memory for side-loading. You're right, though. B&N's track record does not make me hopeful. I expect I seriously nerfed, overpriced reader. Probably with a very nice screen, however.

I hope they surprise me!

Hhmmm, forgot about that. Interesting they refer to it as Plus, given how that term generally refers to a bigger model these days. Unless they intend on continuing to sell the current outdated NOOK Glowlight alongside this new one.
