The Ball and the Cross (1909) “A novel that acts out the debate between Christianity and atheism, as embodied by two characters who propose to fight a duel but can never manage carry it out. Filled with humor, rich dialogue and striking allegorical imagery.” http://chesterton.org/discover/bibliography.html Roy White has already uploaded a serviceable LRF version of this novel. I have made some different formatting decisions and designed a cover. Warning: The author uses the N word (non-pejoratively, though) to describe a person with black skin, in one episode in the book. This work is in the Canadian public domain OR the copyright holder has given specific permission for distribution. It may still be under copyright in some countries.
