amazon kindle costumer service told me in a chat that there will be a automatic update, coming soon. (presumably for all devices with the new pdf features, including PW2.) to fix some pdf viewing problems.

whoever is worried about their hacks, you've been warned.

No.
They can be downloaded by the end-user and applied when/if desired.
OR
With the BackDoor Lock in-place, they can also be applied when/if desired by the end-user.
