Benutzung einer Scan-Station ?
Meine Japanisch-Bücher, die ich in den letzten Jahren gekauft habe, fülllen bei mir mittlerweile 2 große Kisten.
Ich fände es toll, einige meiner dicken Japanisch-Bücher als PDF-Dokument auf einem Tablet-PC lesen und mitnehmen zu können. Da ich die Bücher alle gekauft habe, ist das Scannen zum eigenen Gebrauch auch laut Rechtsprechung erlaubt. Ich besitze einen highend-Medion-Scanner. Allerdings braucht dieser zu lange, eine Seite zu scannen. Jetzt habe ich gesehen, dass die "Universitäts- und Landesbibliothek" in meiner Stadt eine Scan-Station "WalkUp" anbietet. Ein Klick kostet 7 Cent und 4 Images sind ein Klick. Das ist zwar teurer als mein Medionscanner, aber die Scanstation ist recht schnell. Damit können auch dickere Bücher gescannt werden. Meine Frage: Man legt das Buch offen auf den Tisch mit der Schrift nach oben und von oben wird dann das Scan-Foto gemacht. Allerdings habe ich noch nicht herausgefunden, wie man das Buch am besten "flach" macht. Wenn ich mit der Hand die Buchseiten herunterdrücke, gibt es manchmal auf dem Scan Bilder meines Fingers. Meine Idee ist jetzt, mir eine durchsichtige, entspiegelte Plexiglasscheibe zu kaufen und diese auf das Buch zu legen !? Hat jemand schon so etwas gemacht oder hat jemand eine bessere Lösung ? |

ich habe leider keine tiefere Erfahrung, aber ich würde dringend einen Materialversuch empfehlen (wenn das große Plexiglas hinterher nicht anderswo im Haushalt sowieso gebraucht wird). Denn Spiegelungen werden sich auch so nicht vermeiden lassen. Das mit dem Flachpressen der Bücher ist unter Buchscannern nicht ohne Grund eine Glaubensfrage: Wie darf das Buch bzw. die Bindung hinterher aussehen? Für Bücher (nicht Hefte etc.) wird in der Regel eine gewinkelte Auflagefläche vorgesehen, damit man hinterher auch noch ein intaktes Werk hat. Zum Thema Selbstbau-Buchscanner gibt es in den Tiefen von MobileRead auch so dies und das, z.B. den alten aber grundlegenden Thread hier. Und für die Hardcorebastler lohnt sicher eine Grundausbildung bei www.diybookscanner.org . |

Wohnst du in Dortmund? Da bietet die Bibliothek eine eigene Infoseite zum Scanner an.

Ich scanne mit einem Plustek OpticBook 4600 - der ist fast randlos und die Buchwölbung ist kein Thema.
Vielleicht lohnt ja ein Blick drauf...? presto |

kann mich presto anschliessen - habe auch das 4600er im einsatz und bin hochzufrieden scan ist superschnell (<3 sekunden/seite), 300dpi sind ausreichend fuer ocr und die buecher bleiben regalstellbar.
